The one who corrects a mocker will bring dishonor on himself; the one who rebukes a wicked man will get hurt. 7 "Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.
Don't rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. 8 Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will learn more. 9 Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
For by Wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life. 11 For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
If you are wise, you are wise for your own benefit; if you mock, you alone will bear [the consequences]." 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer."

calling to those who pass by, who go straight ahead on their paths: 15 calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way.
"Whoever is inexperienced, enter here!" To the one who lacks sense, she says, 16 "Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment.
