Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
Let lying lips be quieted; they speak arrogantly against the righteous with pride and contempt. 18 Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous.
How great is Your goodness that You have stored up for those who fear You, and accomplished in the sight of everyone for those who take refuge in You. 19 How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men on those who take refuge in you.
You hide them in the protection of Your presence; You conceal them in a shelter from the schemes of men, from quarrelsome tongues. 20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from accusing tongues.
May the Lord be praised, for He has wonderfully shown His faithful love to me in a city under siege. 21 Praise be to the LORD, for he showed his wonderful love to me when I was in a besieged city.
In my alarm I had said, "I am cut off from Your sight." But You heard the sound of my pleading when I cried to You for help. 22 In my alarm I said, "I am cut off from your sight!" Yet you heard my cry for mercy when I called to you for help.
Love the Lord, all His faithful ones. The Lord protects the loyal, but fully repays the arrogant. 23 Love the LORD, all his saints! The LORD preserves the faithful, but the proud he pays back in full.
Be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the Lord. 24 Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
