Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
I will thank the Lord with all my heart; I will declare all Your wonderful works. 1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.
I will rejoice and boast about You; I will sing about Your name, Most High. 2 I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.
When my enemies retreat, they stumble and perish before You. 3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.
For You have upheld my just cause; You are seated on Your throne as a righteous judge. 4 For you have upheld my right and my cause; you have sat on your throne, judging righteously.
You have rebuked the nations: You have destroyed the wicked; You have erased their name forever and ever. 5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
The enemy has come to eternal ruin; You have uprooted the cities, and the very memory of them has perished. 6 Endless ruin has overtaken the enemy, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
But the Lord sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for judgment. 7 The LORD reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment.
He judges the world with righteousness; He executes judgment on the peoples with fairness. 8 He will judge the world in righteousness; he will govern the peoples with justice.
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Those who know Your name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Lord. 10 Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
Sing to the Lord, who dwells in Zion; proclaim His deeds among the peoples. 11 Sing praises to the LORD, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done.
For the One who seeks an accounting for bloodshed remembers them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted. 12 For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cry of the afflicted.
Be gracious to me, Lord; consider my affliction at the hands of those who hate me. Lift me up from the gates of death, 13 O LORD, see how my enemies persecute me! Have mercy and lift me up from the gates of death,
so that I may declare all Your praises. I will rejoice in Your salvation within the gates of Daughter Zion. 14 that I may declare your praises in the gates of the Daughter of Zion and there rejoice in your salvation.
The nations have fallen into the pit they made; their foot is caught in the net they have concealed. 15 The nations have fallen into the pit they have dug; their feet are caught in the net they have hidden.
The Lord has revealed Himself; He has executed justice, striking down the wicked by the work of their hands. Higgaion. Selah 16 The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands. "Higgaion." "Selah"
The wicked will return to Sheol- all the nations that forget God. 17 The wicked return to the grave, all the nations that forget God.
For the oppressed will not always be forgotten; the hope of the afflicted will not perish forever. 18 But the needy will not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the afflicted ever perish.
Rise up, Lord! Do not let man prevail; let the nations be judged in Your presence. 19 Arise, O LORD, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in your presence.
Put terror in them, Lord; let the nations know they are only men. Selah 20 Strike them with terror, O LORD; let the nations know they are but men. "Selah"
