Colossians 4:2-6 RSV/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

Revised Standard Version (RSV) New International Version (NIV)
2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving; 2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
3 and pray for us also, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison, 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.
4 that I may make it clear, as I ought to speak. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.
5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the time. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.
6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer every one. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
