New Living Translation (NLT) New International Version (NIV)
"The LORD heard your request and said to me, 'I have heard what the people have said to you, and they are right. 28 The LORD heard you when you spoke to me and the LORD said to me, "I have heard what this people said to you. Everything they said was good.
Oh, that they would always have hearts like this, that they might fear me and obey all my commands! If they did, they and their descendants would prosper forever. 29 Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
Go and tell them to return to their tents. 30 "Go, tell them to return to their tents.
But you stay here with me so I can give you all my commands, laws, and regulations. You will teach them to the people so they can obey them in the land I am giving to them as their inheritance.'" 31 But you stay here with me so that I may give you all the commands, decrees and laws you are to teach them to follow in the land I am giving them to possess."
So Moses told the people, "You must obey all the commands of the LORD your God, following his instructions in every detail. 32 So be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left.
Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy. 33 Walk in all the way that the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.
