Always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yield to obey each other because you respect Christ. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Wives, yield to your husbands, as you do to the Lord, 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
because the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ is the head of the church. And he is the Savior of the body, which is the church. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
As the church yields to Christ, so you wives should yield to your husbands in everything. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
to make it belong to God. Christ used the word to make the church clean by washing it with water. 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
He died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her beauty. He died so that the church could be pure and without fault, with no evil or sin or any other wrong thing in it. 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
In the same way, husbands should love their wives as they love their own bodies. The man who loves his wife loves himself. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
No one ever hates his own body, but feeds and takes care of it. And that is what Christ does for the church, 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church--
because we are parts of his body. 30 for we are members of his body.
