Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 1 Then the LORD said to Moses,
"See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 2 "See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,
And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts--
to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze,
in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship. 5 to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship.
And I, indeed I, have appointed with him Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have put wisdom in the hearts of all who are gifted artisans, that they may make all that I have commanded you: 6 Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given skill to all the craftsmen to make everything I have commanded you:
the tabernacle of meeting, the ark of the Testimony and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tabernacle-- 7 the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent--
the table and its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense, 8 the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense,
the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base-- 9 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand--
the garments of ministry, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, 10 and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests,
and the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they shall do." 11 and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place. They are to make them just as I commanded you."
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 12 Then the LORD said to Moses,
"Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. 13 "Say to the Israelites, 'You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.
You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 14 " 'Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people.
Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 15 For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant. 16 The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant.
It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.' " 17 It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.' "
And when He had made an end of speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses two tablets of the Testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God. 18 When the LORD finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the Testimony, the tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.
