And of the blue and purple and scarlet stuff they made finely wrought garments, for ministering in the holy place; they made the holy garments for Aaron; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 1 From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary. They also made sacred garments for Aaron, as the LORD commanded Moses.
And he made the ephod of gold, blue and purple and scarlet stuff, and fine twined linen. 2 They made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
And gold leaf was hammered out and cut into threads to work into the blue and purple and the scarlet stuff, and into the fine twined linen, in skilled design. 3 They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen--the work of a skilled craftsman.
They made for the ephod shoulder-pieces, joined to it at its two edges. 4 They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened.
And the skilfully woven band upon it, to gird it on, was of the same materials and workmanship, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet stuff, and fine twined linen; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 5 Its skillfully woven waistband was like it--of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
The onyx stones were prepared, enclosed in settings of gold filigree and engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 6 They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel.
And he set them on the shoulder-pieces of the ephod, to be stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 7 Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD commanded Moses.
He made the breastpiece, in skilled work, like the work of the ephod, of gold, blue and purple and scarlet stuff, and fine twined linen. 8 They fashioned the breastpiece--the work of a skilled craftsman. They made it like the ephod: of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen.
It was square; the breastpiece was made double, a span its length and a span its breadth when doubled. 9 It was square--a span long and a span wide--and folded double.
And they set in it four rows of stones. A row of sardius, topaz, and carbuncle was the first row; 10 Then they mounted four rows of precious stones on it. In the first row there was a ruby, a topaz and a beryl;
and the second row, an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond; 11 in the second row a turquoise, a sapphire and an emerald;
and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 12 in the third row a jacinth, an agate and an amethyst;
and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper; they were enclosed in settings of gold filigree. 13 in the fourth row a chrysolite, an onyx and a jasper. They were mounted in gold filigree settings.
There were twelve stones with their names according to the names of the sons of Israel; they were like signets, each engraved with its name, for the twelve tribes. 14 There were twelve stones, one for each of the names of the sons of Israel, each engraved like a seal with the name of one of the twelve tribes.
And they made on the breastpiece twisted chains like cords, of pure gold; 15 For the breastpiece they made braided chains of pure gold, like a rope.
and they made two settings of gold filigree and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two edges of the breastpiece; 16 They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and fastened the rings to two of the corners of the breastpiece.
and they put the two cords of gold in the two rings at the edges of the breastpiece. 17 They fastened the two gold chains to the rings at the corners of the breastpiece,
Two ends of the two cords they had attached to the two settings of filigree; thus they attached it in front to the shoulder-pieces of the ephod. 18 and the other ends of the chains to the two settings, attaching them to the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front.
Then they made two rings of gold, and put them at the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inside edge next to the ephod. 19 They made two gold rings and attached them to the other two corners of the breastpiece on the inside edge next to the ephod.
And they made two rings of gold, and attached them in front to the lower part of the two shoulder-pieces of the ephod, at its joining above the skilfully woven band of the ephod. 20 Then they made two more gold rings and attached them to the bottom of the shoulder pieces on the front of the ephod, close to the seam just above the waistband of the ephod.
And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, so that it should lie upon the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece should not come loose from the ephod; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 21 They tied the rings of the breastpiece to the rings of the ephod with blue cord, connecting it to the waistband so that the breastpiece would not swing out from the ephod--as the LORD commanded Moses.
He also made the robe of the ephod woven all of blue; 22 They made the robe of the ephod entirely of blue cloth--the work of a weaver--
and the opening of the robe in it was like the opening in a garment, with a binding around the opening, that it might not be torn. 23 with an opening in the center of the robe like the opening of a collar, and a band around this opening, so that it would not tear.
On the skirts of the robe they made pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet stuff and fine twined linen. 24 They made pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely twisted linen around the hem of the robe.
They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates upon the skirts of the robe round about, between the pomegranates; 25 And they made bells of pure gold and attached them around the hem between the pomegranates.
a bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate round about upon the skirts of the robe for ministering; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 26 The bells and pomegranates alternated around the hem of the robe to be worn for ministering, as the LORD commanded Moses.
They also made the coats, woven of fine linen, for Aaron and his sons, 27 For Aaron and his sons, they made tunics of fine linen--the work of a weaver--
and the turban of fine linen, and the caps of fine linen, and the linen breeches of fine twined linen, 28 and the turban of fine linen, the linen headbands and the undergarments of finely twisted linen.
and the girdle of fine twined linen and of blue and purple and scarlet stuff, embroidered with needlework; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 29 The sash was of finely twisted linen and blue, purple and scarlet yarn--the work of an embroiderer--as the LORD commanded Moses.
And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon it an inscription, like the engraving of a signet, "Holy to the LORD." 30 They made the plate, the sacred diadem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: holy to the LORD.
And they tied to it a lace of blue, to fasten it on the turban above; as the LORD had commanded Moses. 31 Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the LORD commanded Moses.
Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was finished; and the people of Israel had done according to all that the LORD had commanded Moses; so had they done. 32 So all the work on the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
And they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its utensils, its hooks, its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 33 Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses: the tent and all its furnishings, its clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases;
the covering of tanned rams' skins and goatskins, and the veil of the screen; 34 the covering of ram skins dyed red, the covering of hides of sea cows and the shielding curtain;
the ark of the testimony with its poles and the mercy seat; 35 the ark of the Testimony with its poles and the atonement cover;
the table with all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; 36 the table with all its articles and the bread of the Presence;
the lampstand of pure gold and its lamps with the lamps set and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; 37 the pure gold lampstand with its row of lamps and all its accessories, and the oil for the light;
the golden altar, the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door of the tent; 38 the gold altar, the anointing oil, the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the entrance to the tent;
the bronze altar, and its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils; the laver and its base; 39 the bronze altar with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the basin with its stand;
the hangings of the court, its pillars, and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court, its cords, and its pegs; and all the utensils for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 40 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard; the ropes and tent pegs for the courtyard; all the furnishings for the tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting;
the finely worked garments for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons to serve as priests. 41 and the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when serving as priests.
According to all that the LORD had commanded Moses, so the people of Israel had done all the work. 42 The Israelites had done all the work just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
And Moses saw all the work, and behold, they had done it; as the LORD had commanded, so had they done it. And Moses blessed them. 43 Moses inspected the work and saw that they had done it just as the LORD had commanded. So Moses blessed them.
