26 desfalleciendo los hombres a causa del temor y expectación de las cosas que sobrevendrán a la redondez de la tierra; porque las virtudes de los cielos serán conmovidas.

26 Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.

|
27 Y entonces verán al Hijo del hombre, que vendrá en una nube con potestad y gran gloria.
|
27 At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
|
|
28 Y cuando estas cosas comenzaren a hacerse, mirad, y levantad vuestras cabezas, porque vuestra redención está cerca.
|
28 When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."
|
|
29 Y les dijo también una parábola: Mirad la higuera y todos los árboles.
|
29 He told them this parable: "Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
|
|
30 Cuando ya brotan, viéndolos, de vosotros mismos entendéis que el verano está ya cerca.
|
30 When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
|
|
31 Así también vosotros, cuando viereis hacerse estas cosas, entended que está cerca el Reino de Dios.
|
31 Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
|
|
32 De cierto os digo, que no pasará esta generación hasta que todo sea hecho.
|
32 "I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
|
|
33 El cielo y la tierra pasarán; mas mis palabras no pasarán.
|
33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
|
|
34 Y mirad por vosotros, que vuestros corazones no sean cargados de glotonería y embriaguez, y de los cuidados de esta vida, y venga de repente sobre vosotros aquel día.
|
34 "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.
|
|
35 Porque como un lazo vendrá sobre todos los que habitan sobre la faz de toda la tierra.
|
35 For it will come upon all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
|
|
36 Velad pues, orando a todo tiempo, que seáis tenidos por dignos de evitar todas estas cosas que han de venir, y de estar en pie delante del Hijo del hombre.
|
36 Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."
