And when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Beth'phage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, 1 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples,
and said to them, "Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat; untie it and bring it. 2 saying to them, "Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
If any one says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.'" 3 If anyone asks you, 'Why are you doing this?' tell him, 'The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.' "
And they went away, and found a colt tied at the door out in the open street; and they untied it. 4 They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it,
And those who stood there said to them, "What are you doing, untying the colt?" 5 some people standing there asked, "What are you doing, untying that colt?"
And they told them what Jesus had said; and they let them go. 6 They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go.
And they brought the colt to Jesus, and threw their garments on it; and he sat upon it. 7 When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it.
And many spread their garments on the road, and others spread leafy branches which they had cut from the fields. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields.
And those who went before and those who followed cried out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 9 Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!"
Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming! Hosanna in the highest!" 10 "Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!" "Hosanna in the highest!"
And he entered Jerusalem, and went into the temple; and when he had looked round at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. 11 Jesus entered Jerusalem and went to the temple. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.
