41 And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. 41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts.
42 A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.
43 Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; 43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others.
44 for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything--all she had to live on."
