23 Then if any one says to you, 'Lo, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it.
24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible.
25 Lo, I have told you beforehand. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 So, if they say to you, 'Lo, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out; if they say, 'Lo, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. 26 "So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
