Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 1 The LORD said to Moses,
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When you are come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you, 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'After you enter the land I am giving you as a home
and will make an offering by fire to Yahweh, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a freewill-offering, or in your set feasts, to make a sweet savor to Yahweh, of the herd, or of the flock; 3 and you present to the LORD offerings made by fire, from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD --whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings--
then shall he who offers his offering offer to Yahweh a meal-offering of a tenth part [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of oil: 4 then the one who brings his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil.
and wine for the drink-offering, the fourth part of a hin, shall you prepare with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb. 5 With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal-offering two tenth parts [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil: 6 " 'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil,
and for the drink-offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a sweet savor to Yahweh. 7 and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace-offerings to Yahweh; 8 " 'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD,
then shall he offer with the bull a meal-offering of three tenth parts [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil: 9 bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil.
and you shall offer for the drink- offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh. 10 Also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It will be an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
Thus shall it be done for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the he-lambs, or of the kids. 11 Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner.
According to the number that you shall prepare, so shall you do to everyone according to their number. 12 Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare.
All who are home-born shall do these things after this manner, in offering an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh. 13 " 'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
If a stranger sojourn with you, or whoever may be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh; as you do, so he shall do. 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do.
For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger who sojourns [with you], a statute forever throughout your generations: as you are, so shall the sojourner be before Yahweh. 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD:
One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger who sojourns with you. 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.' "
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 17 The LORD said to Moses,
Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, When you come into the land where I bring you, 18 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you
then it shall be that when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a heave- offering to Yahweh. 19 and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD.
Of the first of your dough you shall offer up a cake for a heave-offering: as the heave-offering of the threshing floor, so shall you heave it. 20 Present a cake from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor.
Of the first of your dough you shall give to Yahweh a heave-offering throughout your generations. 21 Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal.
When you shall err, and not observe all these commandments, which Yahweh has spoken to Moses, 22 " 'Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses--
even all that Yahweh has commanded you by Moses, from the day that Yahweh gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations; 23 any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come--
then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull for a burnt offering, for a sweet savor to Yahweh, with the meal-offering of it, and the drink-offering of it, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin-offering. 24 and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.
The priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to Yahweh, and their sin-offering before Yahweh, for their error: 25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering.
and all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them; for in respect of all the people it was done unwittingly. 26 The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.
If one person sin unwittingly, then he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin-offering. 27 " 'But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.
The priest shall make atonement for the soul who errs, when he sins unwittingly, before Yahweh, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven. 28 The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.
You shall have one law for him who does anything unwittingly, for him who is home-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger who sojourns among them. 29 One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien.
But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he be home-born or a sojourner, the same blasphemes Yahweh; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 30 " 'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people.
Because he has despised the word of Yahweh, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him. 31 Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.' "
While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly,
They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him. 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.
Yahweh said to Moses, The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp. 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp."
All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Yahweh commanded Moses. 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses.
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 37 The LORD said to Moses,
Speak to the children of Israel, and bid those who they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe of each border a cord of blue: 38 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel.
and it shall be to you for a fringe, that you may look on it, and remember all the commandments of Yahweh, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute; 39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes.
that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God. 40 Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God.
I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Yahweh your God. 41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.' "
