Proverbs 9 RHE/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

Douay-Rheims (RHE) New International Version (NIV)
Wisdom hath built herself a house, she hath hewn her out seven pillars. 1 Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars.
She hath slain her victims, mingled her wine, and set forth her table. 2 She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table.
She hath sent her maids to invite to the tower, and to the walls of the city: 3 She has sent out her maids, and she calls from the highest point of the city.
Whosoever is a little one, let him come to me. And to the unwise she said: 4 "Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment.
Come, eat my bread, and drink the wine which I have mingled for you. 5 "Come, eat my food and drink the wine I have mixed.
Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence. 6 Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way of understanding.
He that teacheth a scorner, doth an injury to himself; and he that rebuketh a wicked man, getteth himself a blot. 7 "Whoever corrects a mocker invites insult; whoever rebukes a wicked man incurs abuse.
Rebuke not a scorner, lest he hate thee. Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 8 Do not rebuke a mocker or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man and he will love you.
Give an occasion to a wise man, and wisdom shall be added to him. Teach a just man, and he shall make haste to receive it. 9 Instruct a wise man and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man and he will add to his learning.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence. 10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
For by me shall thy days be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee. 11 For through me your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be so to thyself: and if a scorner, thou alone shalt bear the evil. 12 If you are wise, your wisdom will reward you; if you are a mocker, you alone will suffer."
A foolish woman and clamorous, and full of allurements, and knowing nothing at all, 13 The woman Folly is loud; she is undisciplined and without knowledge.
Sat at the door of her house, upon a seat, in a high place of the city, 14 She sits at the door of her house, on a seat at the highest point of the city,
To call them that pass by the way, and go on their journey: 15 calling out to those who pass by, who go straight on their way.
He that is a little one, let him turn to me. And to the fool she said: 16 "Let all who are simple come in here!" she says to those who lack judgment.
Stolen waters are sweeter, and hidden bread is more pleasant. 17 "Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!"
And he did not know that giants are there, and that her guests are in the depths of hell. 18 But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave.
