At your rebuke they flee; at the sound of your thunder they take to flight. 7 But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took to flight;
They rose up to the mountains, ran down to the valleys to the place that you appointed for them. 8 they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.
You set a boundary that they may not pass, so that they might not again cover the earth. 9 You set a boundary they cannot cross; never again will they cover the earth.
You make springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills, 10 He makes springs pour water into the ravines; it flows between the mountains.

and wine to gladden the human heart, oil to make the face shine, and bread to strengthen the human heart. 15 wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread that sustains his heart.
The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. 16 The trees of the LORD are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.
In them the birds build their nests; the stork has its home in the fir trees. 17 There the birds make their nests; the stork has its home in the pine trees.
The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the coneys. 18 The high mountains belong to the wild goats; the crags are a refuge for the coneys.
You have made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting. 19 The moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.
You make darkness, and it is night, when all the animals of the forest come creeping out. 20 You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.
The young lions roar for their prey, seeking their food from God. 21 The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God.
When the sun rises, they withdraw and lie down in their dens. 22 The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.
People go out to their work and to their labor until the evening. 23 Then man goes out to his work, to his labor until evening.
O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. 24 How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.
Yonder is the sea, great and wide, creeping things innumerable are there, living things both small and great. 25 There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number-- living things both large and small.
There go the ships, and Leviathan that you formed to sport in it. 26 There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

when you give to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things. 28 When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things.
When you hide your face, they are dismayed; when you take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. 29 When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
When you send forth your spirit, they are created; and you renew the face of the ground. 30 When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the earth.
