Blessed [are those whose] way is blameless, who walk in the law of Yahweh. 1 Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD.
Blessed [are] those who keep his testimonies; they seek him with a whole heart. 2 Blessed are they who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart.
They also do no wrong; they walk in his ways. 3 They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.
You have commanded your precepts, that [we] should keep [them] diligently. 4 You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed.
Oh that my ways were steadfast, to keep your statutes! 5 Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees!
Then I would not be ashamed when I look to all your commands. 6 Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands.
I will give you thanks with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous laws. 7 I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws.
I will heed your statutes; do not utterly forsake me. 8 I will obey your decrees; do not utterly forsake me.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By taking heed according to your word. 9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.
With my whole heart I have sought you; do not let me stray from your commands. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands.
In my heart I have hidden your word, so that I may not sin against you. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Blessed [are] you, O Yahweh. Teach me your statutes. 12 Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
With my lips I have told [of] all the ordinances of your mouth. 13 With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth.
In the way of your testimonies I have rejoiced as [I would] over all riches. 14 I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches.
I will meditate on your precepts and look at your ways. 15 I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways.
I will take delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word. 16 I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and heed your word. 17 Do good to your servant, and I will live; I will obey your word.
Uncover my eyes, that I may look at wonderful things from your law. 18 Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law.
I [am] a sojourner on the earth; do not hide your commands from me. 19 I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.
My soul is crushed with longing for your ordinances at all times. 20 My soul is consumed with longing for your laws at all times.
You rebuke [the] arrogant, [the] accursed, who stray from your commands. 21 You rebuke the arrogant, who are cursed and who stray from your commands.
{Remove from} me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies. 22 Remove from me scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes.
Even [though] princes sit [and] speak against me, your servant meditates on your statutes. 23 Though rulers sit together and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.
Your testimonies [are] my delight, {my counselors}. 24 Your statutes are my delight; they are my counselors.
My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to your word. 25 I am laid low in the dust; preserve my life according to your word.
I told of my ways, and you answered me; teach me your statutes. 26 I recounted my ways and you answered me; teach me your decrees.
Make me understand the way of your precepts, that I may meditate on your wonderful things. 27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts; then I will meditate on your wonders.
My soul weeps because of grief; strengthen me according to your word. 28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
Remove from me [the] deceptive way, and graciously give me your law. 29 Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law.
I have chosen [the] faithful way; I have set your ordinances [before me]. 30 I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws.
I cling to your testimonies; O Yahweh, do not let me be put to shame. 31 I hold fast to your statutes, O LORD; do not let me be put to shame.
I will run the way of your commands, for you will enlarge my heart. 32 I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.
Teach me, O Yahweh, the way of your statutes, and I will keep it to the end. 33 Teach me, O LORD, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and heed it with [my] whole heart. 34 Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.
Cause me to walk in the path of your commands, for I delight in it. 35 Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to [dishonest] gain. 36 Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
Turn away my eyes from looking at [what is] worthless; revive me in your ways. 37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.
Fulfill your word to your servant, which [is] to [bring about] a reverence for you. 38 Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.
Turn away my disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances [are] good. 39 Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.
Look, I have longed for your precepts; revive me in your righteousness. 40 How I long for your precepts! Preserve my life in your righteousness.
Let your acts of loyal love also come to me, O Yahweh, your salvation according to your word. 41 May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise;
Then I will have an answer [for the] one who taunts me, for I trust your word. 42 then I will answer the one who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
And do not snatch [the] word of truth utterly from my mouth, for I hope in your ordinances. 43 Do not snatch the word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.
So I will heed your law continually, forever and ever. 44 I will always obey your law, for ever and ever.
And I will go about {freely}, for I have sought your precepts. 45 I will walk about in freedom, for I have sought out your precepts.
And I will speak of your testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed. 46 I will speak of your statutes before kings and will not be put to shame,
And I will take delight in your commands, which I love. 47 for I delight in your commands because I love them.
And I will lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes. 48 I lift up my hands to your commands, which I love, and I meditate on your decrees.
Remember [your] word to your servant, upon which you have caused me to hope. 49 Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
This [is] my comfort in my misery: that your word preserves my life. 50 My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
[The] arrogant utterly deride me; I have not turned aside from your law. 51 The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law.
I remember your ordinances of old, O Yahweh, and I take comfort. 52 I remember your ancient laws, O LORD, and I find comfort in them.
Rage seizes me because of [the] wicked, those who forsake your law. 53 Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.
Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning. 54 Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I lodge.
I remember your name in the night, O Yahweh, and I heed your law. 55 In the night I remember your name, O LORD, and I will keep your law.
This has been mine, that I have kept your precepts. 56 This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.
Yahweh [is] my portion; I intend to heed your words. 57 You are my portion, O LORD; I have promised to obey your words.
I {seek your favor} with my whole heart; be gracious [to] me according to your word. 58 I have sought your face with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.
I think about my ways, and turn my feet to your testimonies. 59 I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes.
I hurry and do not delay to heed your commands. 60 I will hasten and not delay to obey your commands.
[The] cords of [the] wicked surround me, [but] I do not forget your law. 61 Though the wicked bind me with ropes, I will not forget your law.
[In the] middle of [the] night I rise to give you thanks, because of your righteous ordinances. 62 At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.
I [am] a companion of all [who] fear you and heed your precepts. 63 I am a friend to all who fear you, to all who follow your precepts.
The earth, O Yahweh, is full of your loyal love. Teach me your statutes. 64 The earth is filled with your love, O LORD; teach me your decrees.
You have dealt well with your servant, O Yahweh, according to your word. 65 Do good to your servant according to your word, O LORD.
Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe your commands. 66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I believe in your commands.
Before I was afflicted, I was going astray, but now I heed your word. 67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word.
You [are] good and do good; teach me your statutes. 68 You are good, and what you do is good; teach me your decrees.
[The] arrogant smear me with lies; I keep your precepts with [my] whole heart. 69 Though the arrogant have smeared me with lies, I keep your precepts with all my heart.
Their heart [is] insensitive like fat; As for me, I take delight in your law. 70 Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in your law.
[It is] good for me that I was afflicted, so that I might learn your statutes. 71 It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn your decrees.
The law of your mouth [is] better to me than thousands of gold and silver [coins]. 72 The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
Your hands have made me and established me; give me understanding that I may learn your commands. 73 Your hands made me and formed me; give me understanding to learn your commands.
Those who fear you will see me and be glad, because I hope in your word. 74 May those who fear you rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in your word.
I know, O Yahweh, that your judgments [are] right, and [that] in faithfulness you afflicted me. 75 I know, O LORD, that your laws are righteous, and in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
Please let your loyal love comfort me, according to your word to your servant. 76 May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.
Let your mercies come [to] me, that I may live, for your law [is] my delight. 77 Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.
Let the arrogant be put to shame, because they have wronged me [with] lies. As for me, I will meditate on your precepts. 78 May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on your precepts.
Let those who fear you turn to me, even those who know your testimonies. 79 May those who fear you turn to me, those who understand your statutes.
May my heart be blameless in your statutes, so that I may not be ashamed. 80 May my heart be blameless toward your decrees, that I may not be put to shame.
My soul languishes for your salvation; I hope in your word. 81 My soul faints with longing for your salvation, but I have put my hope in your word.
My eyes long for your word, saying, "When will you comfort me?" 82 My eyes fail, looking for your promise; I say, "When will you comfort me?"
For I have become like a wineskin in [the] smoke, [yet] I have not forgotten your statutes. 83 Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget your decrees.
How many [are] the days of your servant? When will you execute justice against those who persecute me? 84 How long must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?
[The] arrogant have dug pits for me, which [is] not according to your law. 85 The arrogant dig pitfalls for me, contrary to your law.
All your commands [are] faithful. They persecute me deceitfully; help me! 86 All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for men persecute me without cause.
They have almost destroyed me on the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts. 87 They almost wiped me from the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.
According to your loyal love preserve me alive, so that I may heed the testimony from your mouth. 88 Preserve my life according to your love, and I will obey the statutes of your mouth.
Forever, O Yahweh, your word {is settled} in heaven. 89 Your word, O LORD, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.
Your faithfulness [endures] {throughout all generations}. You have established [the] earth and it stands. 90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it endures.
By your ordinances they stand today, for all [are] your servants. 91 Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve you.
Unless your law [had been] my delight, then I would have perished in my misery. 92 If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
I will not ever forget your precepts, for by them you revive me. 93 I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
I [am] yours. Save me, for I have sought your precepts. 94 Save me, for I am yours; I have sought out your precepts.
For me [the] wicked [lie in] wait to destroy me. I give attention to your testimonies. 95 The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes.
I have seen a limit to every perfection; your command [is] very broad. 96 To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless.
How I love your law! The whole day it [is] my meditation. 97 Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.
Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, because they [are] ever with me. 98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me.
I have more insight than all my teachers, for your testimonies [are] my meditation. 99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
I understand more than [the] elders, for I keep your precepts. 100 I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts.
I have restrained my feet from every evil way, so that I may heed your word. 101 I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word.
I have not turned aside from your ordinances, for you have taught me. 102 I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me.
How smooth [are] your words to my palate, more than honey in my mouth. 103 How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
From your precepts I get understanding, therefore I hate every false way. 104 I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.
Your word [is] a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. 105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
I have sworn [an oath] and confirmed [it], to heed {your righteous ordinances}. 106 I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
I am very much afflicted; O Yahweh, revive me according to your word. 107 I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word.
Please accept the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Yahweh, and teach me your ordinances. 108 Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.
My life [is] {in danger} continually, yet I do not forget your law. 109 Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.
[The] wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I do not wander from your precepts. 110 The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts.
I have taken as my own your testimonies forever, for they [are] the joy of my heart. 111 Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
I have inclined my heart to do your statutes forever, to the end. 112 My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end.
I hate {the double-minded}, but I love your law. 113 I hate double-minded men, but I love your law.
You [are] my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word. 114 You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.
Turn aside from me, [you] evildoers, for I will keep the commands of my God. 115 Away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commands of my God!
Sustain me according to your word, that I may live, and do not let me be ashamed of my hope. 116 Sustain me according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.
Uphold me, that I may be delivered, and have regard for your statutes continually. 117 Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always have regard for your decrees.
You reject all [who] stray from your statutes, for their deceit [is] a breach of faith. 118 You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their deceitfulness is in vain.
You remove all the wicked of [the] earth [like] dross, therefore I love your testimonies. 119 All the wicked of the earth you discard like dross; therefore I love your statutes.
My flesh trembles for fear of you, and I am afraid of your judgments. 120 My flesh trembles in fear of you; I stand in awe of your laws.
I have done justice and righteousness; do not leave me to my oppressors. 121 I have done what is righteous and just; do not leave me to my oppressors.
Pledge good for your servant; do not let [the] arrogant oppress me. 122 Ensure your servant's well-being; let not the arrogant oppress me.
My eyes long for your salvation, and your righteous word. 123 My eyes fail, looking for your salvation, looking for your righteous promise.
Deal with your servant according to your loyal love, and teach me your statutes. 124 Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.
I [am] your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your statutes. 125 I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
[It is] time for Yahweh to act, [for] they have broken your law. 126 It is time for you to act, O LORD; your law is being broken.
Therefore I love your commands more than gold, even fine gold. 127 Because I love your commands more than gold, more than pure gold,
Therefore all [your] precepts of everything I regard as right; I hate every false way. 128 and because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.
Your testimonies [are] miracles, therefore my soul keeps them. 129 Your statutes are wonderful; therefore I obey them.
The unfolding of your words gives light, giving understanding to [the] simple. 130 The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.
I open my mouth and pant, because I long for your commands. 131 I open my mouth and pant, longing for your commands.
Turn to me and be gracious to me, as [is] proper for those who love your name. 132 Turn to me and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.
Direct my steps in your word, and do not let any iniquity gain power over me. 133 Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.
Redeem me from [the] oppression of humankind, that I may heed your precepts. 134 Redeem me from the oppression of men, that I may obey your precepts.
Shine your face on your servant, and teach me your statutes. 135 Make your face shine upon your servant and teach me your decrees.
Streams of water flow down [from] my eyes, because [people] do not heed your law. 136 Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.
You [are] righteous, O Yahweh, and your ordinances [are] upright. 137 Righteous are you, O LORD, and your laws are right.
You have ordained your testimonies [in] righteousness, and [in] exceeding faithfulness. 138 The statutes you have laid down are righteous; they are fully trustworthy.
My zeal consumes me, because my enemies have forgotten your words. 139 My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore your words.
Your word [is] very pure, and your servant loves it. 140 Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and your servant loves them.
I [am] small and despised, [yet] I do not forget your precepts. 141 Though I am lowly and despised, I do not forget your precepts.
Your righteousness [is] an everlasting righteousness, and your law [is] truth. 142 Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true.
Trouble and anguish have found me; your commands delight me. 143 Trouble and distress have come upon me, but your commands are my delight.
The righteousness of your testimonies [is] forever; give me understanding that I may live. 144 Your statutes are forever right; give me understanding that I may live.
I call with [my] whole heart; answer me, O Yahweh. I will keep your statutes. 145 I call with all my heart; answer me, O LORD, and I will obey your decrees.
I call to you. Save me, and I will heed your testimonies. 146 I call out to you; save me and I will keep your statutes.
I rise early in the dawn and cry for help; I hope in your word. 147 I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word.
My eyes anticipate [the] night watches, that [I may] meditate on your word. 148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
Hear my voice according to your loyal love; O Yahweh, preserve my life according to your justice. 149 Hear my voice in accordance with your love; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your laws.
[Those who] pursue a [wicked] purpose draw near; they are far from your law. 150 Those who devise wicked schemes are near, but they are far from your law.
You [are] near, O Yahweh, and all your commands [are] truth. 151 Yet you are near, O LORD, and all your commands are true.
Concerning your testimonies, I knew long ago that you have established them forever. 152 Long ago I learned from your statutes that you established them to last forever.
See my misery and rescue me, for I do not forget your law. 153 Look upon my suffering and deliver me, for I have not forgotten your law.
Plead my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your word. 154 Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to your promise.
Salvation [is] far from [the] wicked, for they do not seek your statutes. 155 Salvation is far from the wicked, for they do not seek out your decrees.
Your mercies [are] great, O Yahweh; preserve my life according to your ordinances. 156 Your compassion is great, O LORD; preserve my life according to your laws.
My persecutors and enemies [are] many, [yet] I do not turn aside from your testimonies. 157 Many are the foes who persecute me, but I have not turned from your statutes.
I see [the] treacherous and I feel disgust, because they do not heed your word. 158 I look on the faithless with loathing, for they do not obey your word.
Consider that I love your precepts; O Yahweh, according to your loyal love preserve my life. 159 See how I love your precepts; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your love.
The {whole} of your word [is] truth, and your every righteous judgment [endures] forever. 160 All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
Princes persecute me without cause, but my heart trembles because of your word. 161 Rulers persecute me without cause, but my heart trembles at your word.
I [am] rejoicing over your word, like one who finds great spoil. 162 I rejoice in your promise like one who finds great spoil.
I hate and abhor falsehood; I love your law. 163 I hate and abhor falsehood but I love your law.
I praise you seven [times] in the day for your righteous ordinances. 164 Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.
Great peace [is] for those who love your law, and they do not have a cause for stumbling. 165 Great peace have they who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
I hope for your salvation, O Yahweh, and do your commands. 166 I wait for your salvation, O LORD, and I follow your commands.
My soul heeds your testimonies, and I love them exceedingly. 167 I obey your statutes, for I love them greatly.
I heed your precepts and testimonies, because all my ways [are] before you. 168 I obey your precepts and your statutes, for all my ways are known to you.
Let my cry come before you, O Yahweh; give me understanding according to your word. 169 May my cry come before you, O LORD; give me understanding according to your word.
Let my plea come before you; Deliver me according to your word. 170 May my supplication come before you; deliver me according to your promise.
Let my lips pour out praise, because you teach me your statutes. 171 May my lips overflow with praise, for you teach me your decrees.
Let my tongue sing [of] your word, because all your commands [are] right. 172 May my tongue sing of your word, for all your commands are righteous.
Let your hand be my help, because I have chosen your precepts. 173 May your hand be ready to help me, for I have chosen your precepts.
I long for your salvation, O Yahweh, and your law [is] my delight. 174 I long for your salvation, O LORD, and your law is my delight.
Let my soul live that it may praise you, and let your ordinances help me. 175 Let me live that I may praise you, and may your laws sustain me.
I have wandered like a lost sheep; seek your servant, because I do not forget your commands. 176 I have strayed like a lost sheep. Seek your servant, for I have not forgotten your commands.
