Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the skies. Praise him high above the earth. 1 Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD from the heavens, praise him in the heights above.
Praise him, all you angels. Praise him, all you armies of heaven. 2 Praise him, all his angels, praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all you shining stars. 3 Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, highest heavens and you waters above the sky. 4 Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the Lord, because they were created by his command. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created.
He put them in place forever and ever; he made a law that will never change. 6 He set them in place for ever and ever; he gave a decree that will never pass away.
Praise the Lord from the earth, you large sea animals and all the oceans, 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
lightning and hail, snow and mist, and stormy winds that obey him, 8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding,
mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars, 9 you mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
wild animals and all cattle, crawling animals and birds, 10 wild animals and all cattle, small creatures and flying birds,
kings of the earth and all nations, princes and all rulers of the earth, 11 kings of the earth and all nations, you princes and all rulers on earth,
young men and women, old people and children. 12 young men and maidens, old men and children.
Praise the Lord, because he alone is great. He is more wonderful than heaven and earth. 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
God has given his people a king. He should be praised by all who belong to him; he should be praised by the Israelites, the people closest to his heart. 14 He has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his saints, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the LORD.
