Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the congregation of the godly ones. 1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.
Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
Let them praise His name with dancing; Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre. 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation. 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.
Let the godly ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds. 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,
To execute vengeance on the nations And punishment on the peoples, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,
To bind their kings with chains And their nobles with fetters of iron, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron,
To execute on them the judgment written; This is an honor for all His godly ones. Praise the LORD! 9 to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.
