Hebrew Names Version (HNV) New International Version (NIV)
<> Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. 1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
My soul, you have said to the LORD, "You are my Lord. Apart from you I have no good thing." 2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
As for the holy ones who are in the eretz, They are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight. 3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
Their sorrows shall be multiplied who give gifts to another god. Their drink-offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take their names on my lips. 4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.
The LORD assigned my portion and my cup. You made my lot secure. 5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I have a good inheritance. 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will bless the LORD, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons. 7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my tongue rejoices. My body shall also dwell in safety. 9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,
For you will not leave my soul in She'ol, Neither will you allow your holy one to see corruption. 10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. 11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
