Lexham English Bible (LEB) New International Version (NIV)
Protect me, O God, for I take refuge in you. 1 Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge.
[Oh my soul] you have said to Yahweh, "You [are] my Lord. I have no good apart from you." 2 I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
With regard to [the] saints who [are] in the land, they [are the] noble ones in [whom is] all my desire. 3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
Those [who] hurry [after] another [god] increase their sorrows. I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, nor take up their names on my lips. 4 The sorrows of those will increase who run after other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.
Yahweh [is] the portion [which is] my share and my cup. You hold my lot. 5 LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
[The] measuring lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Yes, [my] inheritance is delightful for me. 6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
I will bless Yahweh who advises me; yes, [at] night my {innermost being} instructs me. 7 I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.
I have set Yahweh before me always. Because [he is] at my right hand I will not be shaken. 8 I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices. Yes, my body will dwell in safety, 9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure,
for you will not abandon my soul to Sheol; you will not give your faithful one to see [the] grave. 10 because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
You will make known to me [the] path of life. In your presence [is] fullness of joy. At your right hand [are] pleasures forever. 11 You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
