Holman Christian Standard (CSB) New International Version (NIV)
An oracle within my heart concerning the transgression of the wicked: There is no dread of God before his eyes, 1 An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes.
for in his own eyes he flatters himself [too much] to discover and hate his sin. 2 For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin.
The words of his mouth are malicious and deceptive; he has stopped acting wisely and doing good. 3 The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and to do good.
Even on his bed he makes malicious plans. He sets himself on a path that is not good and does not reject evil. 4 Even on his bed he plots evil; he commits himself to a sinful course and does not reject what is wrong.
Lord, Your faithful love [reaches] to heaven, Your faithfulness to the skies. 5 Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
Your righteousness is like the highest mountain; Your judgments, like the deepest sea. Lord, You preserve man and beast. 6 Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O LORD, you preserve both man and beast.
God, Your faithful love is so valuable that people take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. 7 How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They are filled from the abundance of Your house; You let them drink from Your refreshing stream, 8 They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.
for with You is life's fountain. In Your light we will see light. 9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
Spread Your faithful love over those who know You, and Your righteousness over the upright in heart. 10 Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.
Do not let the foot of the arrogant come near me or the hand of the wicked drive me away. 11 May the foot of the proud not come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.
There the evildoers fall; they have been thrown down and cannot rise. 12 See how the evildoers lie fallen-- thrown down, not able to rise!
