<> Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer. 1 Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer.
You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah. 2 How long, O men, will you turn my glory into shame ? How long will you love delusions and seek false gods ? "Selah"
But know that the LORD has set apart for himself him who is godly: The LORD will hear when I call to him. 3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for himself; the LORD will hear when I call to him.
Stand in awe, and don't sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah. 4 In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent. "Selah"
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Put your trust in the LORD. 5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD.
Many say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, let the light of your face shine on us. 6 Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?" Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and their new wine are increased. 7 You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
In shalom I will both lay myself down and sleep, For you, the LORD alone, make me live in safety. 8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
