Psalm 6 TMB/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

Third Millennium Bible (TMB) New International Version (NIV)
<> O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger, neither chasten me in Thy hot displeasure. 1 O LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are vexed. 2 Be merciful to me, LORD, for I am faint; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are in agony.
My soul is also sore vexed, but Thou, O LORD, how long? 3 My soul is in anguish. How long, O LORD, how long?
Return, O LORD, deliver my soul! O save me for Thy mercies' sake! 4 Turn, O LORD, and deliver me; save me because of your unfailing love.
For in death there is no remembrance of Thee; in the grave who shall give Thee thanks? 5 No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave ?
I am weary with my groaning; all the night I make my bed to swim, I water my couch with my tears. 6 I am worn out from groaning; all night long I flood my bed with weeping and drench my couch with tears.
Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. 7 My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes.
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. 8 Away from me, all you who do evil, for the LORD has heard my weeping.
The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. 9 The LORD has heard my cry for mercy; the LORD accepts my prayer.
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sorely vexed; let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly. 10 All my enemies will be ashamed and dismayed; they will turn back in sudden disgrace.
