Praise is due to you, O God, in Zion; and to you shall vows be performed, 1 Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled.
O you who answer prayer! To you all flesh shall come. 2 O you who hear prayer, to you all men will come.
When deeds of iniquity overwhelm us, you forgive our transgressions. 3 When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions.
Happy are those whom you choose and bring near to live in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy temple. 4 Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple.
By awesome deeds you answer us with deliverance, O God of our salvation; you are the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas. 5 You answer us with awesome deeds of righteousness, O God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas,
By your strength you established the mountains; you are girded with might. 6 who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength,
You silence the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, the tumult of the peoples. 7 who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.
Those who live at earth's farthest bounds are awed by your signs; you make the gateways of the morning and the evening shout for joy. 8 Those living far away fear your wonders; where morning dawns and evening fades you call forth songs of joy.
You visit the earth and water it, you greatly enrich it; the river of God is full of water; you provide the people with grain, for so you have prepared it. 9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it.
You water its furrows abundantly, settling its ridges, softening it with showers, and blessing its growth. 10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
You crown the year with your bounty; your wagon tracks overflow with richness. 11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.
The pastures of the wilderness overflow, the hills gird themselves with joy, 12 The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness.
the meadows clothe themselves with flocks, the valleys deck themselves with grain, they shout and sing together for joy. 13 The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.
