Psalm 66 NLT/NIV - Online Parallel Bible

New Living Translation (NLT) New International Version (NIV)
For the choir director: A psalm. A song. Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! 1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is. 2 Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!
Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! Your enemies cringe before your mighty power. 3 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
Everything on earth will worship you; they will sing your praises, shouting your name in glorious songs." Interlude 4 All the earth bows down to you; they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name." "Selah"
Come and see what our God has done, what awesome miracles he does for his people! 5 Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf !
He made a dry path through the Red Sea, and his people went across on foot. Come, let us rejoice in who he is. 6 He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot-- come, let us rejoice in him.
For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance. Interlude 7 He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations-- let not the rebellious rise up against him. "Selah"
Let the whole world bless our God and sing aloud his praises. 8 Praise our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard;
Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling. 9 he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.
You have tested us, O God; you have purified us like silver melted in a crucible. 10 For you, O God, tested us; you refined us like silver.
You captured us in your net and laid the burden of slavery on our backs. 11 You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.
You sent troops to ride across our broken bodies. We went through fire and flood. But you brought us to a place of great abundance. 12 You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
Now I come to your Temple with burnt offerings to fulfill the vows I made to you -- 13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you--
yes, the sacred vows you heard me make when I was in deep trouble. 14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
That is why I am sacrificing burnt offerings to you -- the best of my rams as a pleasing aroma. And I will sacrifice bulls and goats. Interlude 15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you and an offering of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. "Selah"
Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me. 16 Come and listen, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.
For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. 17 I cried out to him with my mouth; his praise was on my tongue.
If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, my Lord would not have listened. 18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer. 19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.
Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer and did not withdraw his unfailing love from me. 20 Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
