Revised Standard Version (RSV) New International Version (NIV)
O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 3 For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.
The sea is his, for he made it; for his hands formed the dry land. 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! 6 Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would hearken to his voice! 7 for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,
Harden not your hearts, as at Mer'ibah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert,
when your fathers tested me, and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. 9 where your fathers tested and tried me, though they had seen what I did.
For forty years I loathed that generation and said, "They are a people who err in heart, and they do not regard my ways." 10 For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways."
Therefore I swore in my anger that they should not enter my rest. 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, "They shall never enter my rest."
