1 Corinthians 16

YLT 1 And concerning the collection that [is] for the saints, as I directed to the assemblies of Galatia, so also ye -- do ye; NIV 1 Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. YLT 2 on every first [day] of the week, let each one of you lay by him, treasuring up whatever he may have prospered, that when I may come then collections may not be made; NIV 2 On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. YLT 3 and whenever I may come, whomsoever ye may approve, through letters, these I will send to carry your favour to Jerusalem; NIV 3 Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. YLT 4 and if it be meet for me also to go, with me they shall go. NIV 4 If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me. YLT 5 And I will come unto you, when I pass through Macedonia -- for Macedonia I do pass through -- NIV 5 After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you--for I will be going through Macedonia. YLT 6 and with you, it may be, I will abide, or even winter, that ye may send me forward whithersoever I go, NIV 6 Perhaps I will stay with you awhile, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. YLT 7 for I do not wish to see you now in the passing, but I hope to remain a certain time with you, if the Lord may permit; NIV 7 I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. YLT 8 and I will remain in Ephesus till the Pentecost, NIV 8 But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, YLT 9 for a door to me hath been opened -- great and effectual -- and withstanders [are] many. NIV 9 because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. YLT 10 And if Timotheus may come, see that he may become without fear with you, for the work of the Lord he doth work, even as I, NIV 10 If Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. YLT 11 no one, then, may despise him; and send ye him forward in peace, that he may come to me, for I expect him with the brethren; NIV 11 No one, then, should refuse to accept him. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers. YLT 12 and concerning Apollos our brother, much I did entreat him that he may come unto you with the brethren, and it was not at all [his] will that he may come now, and he will come when he may find convenient. NIV 12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity. YLT 13 Watch ye, stand in the faith; be men, be strong; NIV 13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. YLT 14 let all your things be done in love. NIV 14 Do everything in love. YLT 15 And I entreat you, brethren, ye have known the household of Stephanas, that it is the first-fruit of Achaia, and to the ministration to the saints they did set themselves -- NIV 15 You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints. I urge you, brothers, YLT 16 that ye also be subject to such, and to every one who is working with [us] and labouring; NIV 16 to submit to such as these and to everyone who joins in the work, and labors at it. YLT 17 and I rejoice over the presence of Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because the lack of you did these fill up; NIV 17 I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. YLT 18 for they did refresh my spirit and yours; acknowledge ye, therefore, those who [are] such. NIV 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition. YLT 19 Salute you do the assemblies of Asia; salute you much in the Lord do Aquilas and Priscilla, with the assembly in their house; NIV 19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. YLT 20 salute you do all the brethren; salute ye one another in an holy kiss. NIV 20 All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. YLT 21 The salutation of [me] Paul with my hand; NIV 21 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand. YLT 22 if any one doth not love the Lord Jesus Christ -- let him be anathema! The Lord hath come! NIV 22 If anyone does not love the Lord --a curse be on him. Come, O Lord ! YLT 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ [is] with you; NIV 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. YLT 24 my love [is] with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. NIV 24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.
