1 Corinthians 1:10-17

NKJV 10 Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. NIV 10 I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. NKJV 11 For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe's household, that there are contentions among you. NIV 11 My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. NKJV 12 Now I say this, that each of you says, "I am of Paul," or "I am of Apollos," or "I am of Cephas," or "I am of Christ." NIV 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas "; still another, "I follow Christ." NKJV 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? NIV 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul? NKJV 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, NIV 14 I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, NKJV 15 lest anyone should say that I had baptized in my own name. NIV 15 so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. NKJV 16 Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides, I do not know whether I baptized any other. NIV 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) NKJV 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. NIV 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel--not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
