1 John 4:15-21

TMB 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. NIV 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. TMB 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath for us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. NIV 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. TMB 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. NIV 17 In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. TMB 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. NIV 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. TMB 19 We love Him, because He first loved us. NIV 19 We love because he first loved us. TMB 20 If a man say, "I love God," and hateth his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? NIV 20 If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. TMB 21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loveth God love his brother also. NIV 21 And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.
