1 Peter 2:1-6

NLT 1 So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. NIV 1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. NLT 2 Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation. Cry out for this nourishment, NIV 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, NLT 3 now that you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness. NIV 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. NLT 4 You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. NIV 4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-- NLT 5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. NIV 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. NLT 6 As the Scriptures say, “I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” NIV 6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
