1 Peter 2:1-6

NRS 1 Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, and all guile, insincerity, envy, and all slander. NIV 1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. NRS 2 Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation— NIV 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, NRS 3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. NIV 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. NRS 4 Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God's sight, and NIV 4 As you come to him, the living Stone--rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-- NRS 5 like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. NIV 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. NRS 6 For it stands in scripture: "See, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame." NIV 6 For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."
