1 Peter 5:5-11

RSV 5 Likewise you that are younger be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." NIV 5 Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." RSV 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. NIV 6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
