1 Timothy 2:1-7

NLT 1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God's mercy upon them, and give thanks. NIV 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone-- NLT 2 Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority, so that we can live in peace and quietness, in godliness and dignity. NLT 7 And I have been chosen -- this is the absolute truth -- as a preacher and apostle to teach the Gentiles about faith and truth. NIV 7 And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am telling the truth, I am not lying--and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles.
