28 E Absalom diede ordine a’ suoi servitori, dicendo: Deh! guardate quando il cuore di Amnon sarà allegro di vino, e che io vi dirò: Percotetelo; allora ammazzatelo, e non temiate; non sono io quello che ve l’ho comandato? confortatevi, e portatevi da valent’uomini.

Absalom ordered his men, “Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.”
