36 And one ran and filled a sponge full of vinegar and put <em>it</em> on a reed and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down.
36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.
