Psalms 132:1-7

1 Lord, remember David and all of the hard times he went through.

1 LORD, remember David and all his self-denial.

2 Lord, he took an oath. Mighty One of Jacob, he made a promise to you.

2 He swore an oath to the LORD, he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 He said, "I won't enter my house or go to bed.

3 “I will not enter my house or go to my bed,

4 I won't let my eyes sleep. I won't close my eyelids

4 I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids,

5 until I find a place for the Lord. I want to build a house for the Mighty One of Jacob."
