Acts 28:25-31

NRS 25 So they disagreed with each other; and as they were leaving, Paul made one further statement: "The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your ancestors through the prophet Isaiah, NIV 25 They disagreed among themselves and began to leave after Paul had made this final statement: "The Holy Spirit spoke the truth to your forefathers when he said through Isaiah the prophet: NRS 26 "Go to this people and say, You will indeed listen, but never understand, and you will indeed look, but never perceive. NIV 26 " 'Go to this people and say, "You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving." NRS 27 For this people's heart has grown dull, and their ears are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes; so that they might not look with their eyes, and listen with their ears, and understand with their heart and turn— and I would heal them.' NIV 27 For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.' NRS 28 Let it be known to you then that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen." NIV 28 "Therefore I want you to know that God's salvation has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will listen!" NRS 29 NRS 30 He lived there two whole years at his own expense and welcomed all who came to him, NIV 30 For two whole years Paul stayed there in his own rented house and welcomed all who came to see him. NRS 31 proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance. NIV 31 Boldly and without hindrance he preached the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ.
