Colossians 1:1-6

NLT 1 This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and from our brother Timothy. NIV 1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, NLT 2 We are writing to God’s holy people in the city of Colosse, who are faithful brothers and sisters in Christ. May God our Father give you grace and peace. NIV 2 To the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colosse: Grace and peace to you from God our Father. NLT 3 We always pray for you, and we give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. NIV 3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, NLT 4 For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and your love for all of God’s people, NIV 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all the saints-- NLT 5 which come from your confident hope of what God has reserved for you in heaven. You have had this expectation ever since you first heard the truth of the Good News. NIV 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel NLT 6 This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace. NIV 6 that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God's grace in all its truth.
