Deuteronomy 30:11-20

NLT 11 "This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand or perform. NIV 11 Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. NLT 12 It is not up in heaven, so distant that you must ask, 'Who will go to heaven and bring it down so we can hear and obey it?' NIV 12 It is not up in heaven, so that you have to ask, "Who will ascend into heaven to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" NLT 13 It is not beyond the sea, so far away that you must ask, 'Who will cross the sea to bring it to us so we can hear and obey it?' NIV 13 Nor is it beyond the sea, so that you have to ask, "Who will cross the sea to get it and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?" NLT 14 The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart so that you can obey it." NIV 14 No, the word is very near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart so you may obey it. NLT 15 "Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between prosperity and disaster, between life and death. NIV 15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. NLT 16 I have commanded you today to love the LORD your God and to keep his commands, laws, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and become a great nation, and the LORD your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. NIV 16 For I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the LORD your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. NLT 17 But if your heart turns away and you refuse to listen, and if you are drawn away to serve and worship other gods, NIV 17 But if your heart turns away and you are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and worship them, NLT 18 then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a long, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy." NIV 18 I declare to you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. NLT 19 "Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live! NIV 19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live NLT 20 Choose to love the LORD your God and to obey him and commit yourself to him, for he is your life. Then you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." NIV 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
