NIV 12 to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up GNT 13 And so we shall all come together to that oneness in our faith and in our knowledge of the Son of God; we shall become mature people, reaching to the very height of Christ's full stature. NIV 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. GNT 14 Then we shall no longer be children, carried by the waves and blown about by every shifting wind of the teaching of deceitful people, who lead others into error by the tricks they invent. NIV 19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. GNT 20 That was not what you learned about Christ! NIV 20 You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. GNT 21 You certainly heard about him, and as his followers you were taught the truth that is in Jesus. NIV 21 Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. GNT 22 So get rid of your old self, which made you live as you used to - the old self that was being destroyed by its deceitful desires. NIV 22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
