Ephesians 5:20-30

NIRV 20 Always give thanks to God the Father for everything. Give thanks to him in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. NIV 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. NIRV 21 Follow the lead of one another because of your respect for Christ. NIV 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. NIRV 22 Wives, follow the lead of your husbands as you follow the Lord. NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. NIRV 23 The husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the church. The church is Christ's body. He is its Savior. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. NIRV 24 The church follows the lead of Christ. In the same way, wives should follow the lead of their husbands in everything. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. NIRV 25 Husbands, love your wives. Love them just as Christ loved the church. He gave himself up for her. NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her NIRV 26 He did it to make her holy. He made her clean by washing her with water and the word. NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, NIRV 27 He did it to bring her to himself as a brightly shining church. He wants a church that has no stain or wrinkle or any other flaw. He wants a church that is holy and without blame. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. NIRV 28 In the same way, husbands should love their wives. They should love them as they love their own bodies. Any man who loves his wife loves himself. NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. NIRV 29 After all, people have never hated their own bodies. Instead, they feed and care for their bodies. And that is what Christ does for the church. NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- NIRV 30 We are parts of his body. NIV 30 for we are members of his body.
