Ephesians 5:22-33

NAS 22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord . NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. NAS 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. NAS 24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. NAS 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her NAS 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, NAS 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. NAS 28 So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. NAS 29 for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- NAS 30 because we are members of His body. NIV 30 for we are members of his body. NAS 31 FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH. NIV 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." NAS 32 This mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. NIV 32 This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church. NAS 33 Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband. NIV 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
