Ephesians 5:22-33

NLT 22 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. NLT 23 For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. NLT 24 As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. NLT 25 For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her NLT 26 to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, NLT 27 He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, she will be holy and without fault. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. NLT 28 In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as they love their own bodies. For a man who loves his wife actually shows love for himself. NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. NLT 29 No one hates his own body but feeds and cares for it, just as Christ cares for the church. NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- NLT 30 And we are members of his body. NIV 30 for we are members of his body. NLT 31 As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.” NIV 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." NLT 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. NIV 32 This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church. NLT 33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. NIV 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
