Ephesians 6

TYN 1 Chyldren obey youre fathers and mothers in the Lorde: for so is it right. NIV 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. TYN 2 Honoure thy father and mother that is the fyrst commaundement that hath eny promes NIV 2 "Honor your father and mother"--which is the first commandment with a promise-- TYN 3 that thou mayst be in good estate and lyve longe on the erthe. NIV 3 "that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth." TYN 4 And ye fathers move not youre children to wrath: but bringe the vp wt the norter and informacio of ye Lorde. NIV 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. TYN 5 Servautes be obedient vnto youre carnall masters with feare and trimblinge in singlenes of youre hertes as vnto Christ: NIV 5 Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. TYN 6 not wt service in ye eye sight as men pleasars: but as the servautes of Christ doynge ye will of God fro the herte NIV 6 Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but like slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. TYN 7 with good will servinge ye Lorde and not men. NIV 7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, TYN 8 And remember that whatsoever good thinge eny man doeth that shall he receave agayne of the Lorde whether he be bonde or fre. NIV 8 because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free. TYN 9 And ye masters do eve the same thinges vnto them puttinge awaye threateninges: and remember that even youre master also is in heven nether is ther eny respecte of person with him. NIV 9 And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him. TYN 10 Finally my brethre be stronge in the Lorde and in the power of his myght. NIV 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. TYN 11 Put on ye armour of God that ye maye stonde stedfast agaynst ye crafty assautes of the devyll. NIV 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. TYN 12 For we wrestle not agaynst flesshe and bloud: but agaynst rule agaynst power and agaynst worldy rulars of ye darckenes of this worlde agaynst spretuall wickednes for hevenly thinges. NIV 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. TYN 13 For this cause take vnto you the armoure of God yt ye maye be able to resist in the evyll daye and to stonde perfect in all thinges. NIV 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. TYN 14 Stonde therfore and youre loynes gyrd aboute with veritie havinge on the brest plate of rightewesnes NIV 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, TYN 15 and shood with showes prepared by the gospell of peace. NIV 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. TYN 16 Above all take to you the shelde of fayth wherwith ye maye quenche all ye fyrie dartes of the wicked. NIV 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. TYN 17 And take the helmet of salvacio and the swearde of the sprete which is the worde of God. NIV 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. TYN 18 And praye all wayes with all maner prayer and supplicacio: and yt in the sprete: and watch thervnto wt all instance and supplicacio for all saynctes NIV 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. TYN 19 and for me that vttraunce maye be geve vnto me that I maye open my mouth boldly to vtter the secretes of the gospell NIV 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, TYN 20 whereof I am a messenger in bondes that therin I maye speake frely as it becommeth me to speake. NIV 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. TYN 21 But that ye maye also knowe what condicion I am in and what I do Tichicus my deare brother and faythfull minister in the Lorde shall shewe you of all thinges NIV 21 Tychicus, the dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will tell you everything, so that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. TYN 22 whom I sent vnto you for the same purpose that ye myght knowe what case I stonde in and that he myght comfort youre hertes. NIV 22 I am sending him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are, and that he may encourage you. TYN 23 Peace be with the brethren and love with fayth from God the father and from the Lorde Iesu Christ. NIV 23 Peace to the brothers, and love with faith from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. TYN 24 Grace be with all them which love oure lorde Iesus Christ in puernes. Ame NIV 24 Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.
