Ephesians 6:10-20

RSV 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. NIV 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. RSV 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. NIV 11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. RSV 12 For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. NIV 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. RSV 13 Therefore take the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. NIV 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. RSV 14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, NIV 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, RSV 15 and having shod your feet with the equipment of the gospel of peace; NIV 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. NIV 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. RSV 18 Pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, NIV 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. RSV 19 and also for me, that utterance may be given me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, NIV 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, RSV 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.
