Exodus 25

ASV 1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses, ASV 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they take for me an offering: of every man whose heart maketh him willing ye shall take my offering. NIV 2 "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give. ASV 3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them: gold, and silver, and brass, NIV 3 These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; ASV 4 and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' [hair], NIV 4 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; ASV 5 and rams' skins dyed red, and sealskins, and acacia wood, NIV 5 ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows; acacia wood; ASV 6 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil, and for the sweet incense, NIV 6 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; ASV 7 onyx stones, and stones to be set, for the ephod, and for the breastplate. NIV 7 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. ASV 8 And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. NIV 8 "Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. ASV 9 According to all that I show thee, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the furniture thereof, even so shall ye make it. NIV 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. ASV 10 And they shall make an ark of acacia wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. NIV 10 "Have them make a chest of acacia wood--two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high. ASV 11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about. NIV 11 Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it. ASV 12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four feet thereof; and two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. NIV 12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. ASV 13 And thou shalt make staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold. NIV 13 Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. ASV 14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings on the sides of the ark, wherewith to bear the ark. NIV 14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest to carry it. ASV 15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. NIV 15 The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. ASV 16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. NIV 16 Then put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you. ASV 17 And thou shalt make a mercy-seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. NIV 17 "Make an atonement cover of pure gold--two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. ASV 18 And thou shalt make two cherubim of gold; of beaten work shalt thou make them, at the two ends of the mercy-seat. NIV 18 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. ASV 19 And make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end: of one piece with the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof. NIV 19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. ASV 20 And the cherubim shall spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. NIV 20 The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover. ASV 21 And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. NIV 21 Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you. ASV 22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel. NIV 22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. ASV 23 And thou shalt make a table of acacia wood: two cubits [shall be] the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof. NIV 23 "Make a table of acacia wood--two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high. ASV 24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about. NIV 24 Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it. ASV 25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of a handbreadth round about; and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about. NIV 25 Also make around it a rim a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim. ASV 26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof. NIV 26 Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. ASV 27 Close by the border shall the rings be, for places for the staves to bear the table. NIV 27 The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. ASV 28 And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them. NIV 28 Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them. ASV 29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and the spoons thereof, and the flagons thereof, and the bowls thereof, wherewith to pour out: of pure gold shalt thou make them. NIV 29 And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings. ASV 30 And thou shalt set upon the table showbread before me alway. NIV 30 Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times. ASV 31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made, even its base, and its shaft; its cups, its knops, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it. NIV 31 "Make a lampstand of pure gold and hammer it out, base and shaft; its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms shall be of one piece with it. ASV 32 And there shall be six branches going out of the sides thereof; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side thereof, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side thereof: NIV 32 Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand--three on one side and three on the other. ASV 33 three cups made like almond-blossoms in one branch, a knop and a flower; and three cups made like almond-blossoms in the other branch, a knop and a flower: so for the six branches going out of the candlestick: NIV 33 Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand. ASV 34 and in the candlestick four cups made like almond-blossoms, the knops thereof, and the flowers thereof; NIV 34 And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. ASV 35 and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, and a knop under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the candlestick. NIV 35 One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair--six branches in all. ASV 36 Their knops and their branches shall be of one piece with it; the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold. NIV 36 The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold. ASV 37 And thou shalt make the lamps thereof, seven: and they shall light the lamps thereof, to give light over against it. NIV 37 "Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. ASV 38 And the snuffers thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold. NIV 38 Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. ASV 39 Of a talent of pure gold shall it be made, with all these vessels. NIV 39 A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. ASV 40 And see that thou make them after their pattern, which hath been showed thee in the mount. NIV 40 See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
