NLT 22 Then the LORD said to Moses, NIV 22 Then the LORD said to Moses, NLT 23 "Collect choice spices -- 12 1/2 pounds of pure myrrh, 6 1/4 pounds each of cinnamon and of sweet cane, NIV 23 "Take the following fine spices: 500 shekels of liquid myrrh, half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon, 250 shekels of fragrant cane, NLT 24 12 1/2 pounds of cassia, and one gallon of olive oil. NIV 24 500 shekels of cassia--all according to the sanctuary shekel--and a hin of olive oil. NLT 25 Blend these ingredients into a holy anointing oil. NIV 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer. It will be the sacred anointing oil. NLT 26 Use this scented oil to anoint the Tabernacle, the Ark of the Covenant, NIV 26 Then use it to anoint the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the Testimony, NLT 27 the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and all its accessories, the incense altar, NIV 27 the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, NLT 28 the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the large washbasin with its pedestal. NLT 32 It must never be poured on the body of an ordinary person, and you must never make any of it for yourselves. It is holy, and you must treat it as holy. NIV 32 Do not pour it on men's bodies and do not make any oil with the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred. NLT 33 Anyone who blends scented oil like it or puts any of it on someone who is not a priest will be cut off from the community.'" NIV 33 Whoever makes perfume like it and whoever puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off from his people.' " NLT 34 These were the LORD's instructions to Moses concerning the incense: "Gather sweet spices -- resin droplets, mollusk scent, galbanum, and pure frankincense -- weighing out the same amounts of each. NIV 34 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take fragrant spices--gum resin, onycha and galbanum--and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts, NLT 35 Using the usual techniques of the incense maker, refine it to produce a pure and holy incense. NIV 35 and make a fragrant blend of incense, the work of a perfumer. It is to be salted and pure and sacred. NLT 36 Beat some of it very fine and put some of it in front of the Ark of the Covenant, where I will meet with you in the Tabernacle. This incense is most holy. NIV 36 Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the Testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be most holy to you. NLT 37 Never make this incense for yourselves. It is reserved for the LORD, and you must treat it as holy. NIV 37 Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy to the LORD. NLT 38 Those who make it for their own enjoyment will be cut off from the community." NIV 38 Whoever makes any like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off from his people."
