Exodus 7:20-25

KJV 20 And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded ; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. NIV 20 Moses and Aaron did just as the LORD had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood. KJV 21 And the fish that was in the river died ; and the river stank , and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt. NIV 21 The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt. KJV 22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened , neither did he hearken unto them; as the LORD had said . NIV 22 But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, and Pharaoh's heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the LORD had said. KJV 23 And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also. NIV 23 Instead, he turned and went into his palace, and did not take even this to heart. KJV 24 And all the Egyptians digged round about the river for water to drink ; for they could not drink of the water of the river. NIV 24 And all the Egyptians dug along the Nile to get drinking water, because they could not drink the water of the river. KJV 25 And seven days were fulfilled , after that the LORD had smitten the river. NIV 25 Seven days passed after the LORD struck the Nile.
