Galatians 2:15-21

NIRV 15 We are Jews by birth. We are not "non-Jewish sinners." NIV 15 "We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' NIRV 16 We know that no one is made right with God by obeying the law. It is by believing in Jesus Christ. So we too have put our faith in Christ Jesus. That is so we can be made right with God by believing in Christ, not by obeying the law. No one can be made right with God by obeying the law. NIV 16 know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified. NIRV 17 We are trying to be made right with God through Christ. But it is clear that we are sinners. So does that mean that Christ causes us to sin? Certainly not! NIV 17 "If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not! NIRV 18 Suppose I build again what I had destroyed. Then I prove that I break the Law. NIV 18 If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker. NIRV 19 Because of the law, I died as far as the law is concerned. I died so that I might live for God. NIV 19 For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. NIRV 20 I have been crucified with Christ. I don't live any longer. Christ lives in me. My faith in the Son of God helps me to live my life in my body. He loved me. He gave himself for me. NIV 20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. NIRV 21 I do not get rid of the grace of God. What if a person could become right with God by obeying the law? Then Christ died for nothing! NIV 21 I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
