Galatians 5:1-6

NRS 1 For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. NIV 1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. NRS 2 Listen! I, Paul, am telling you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no benefit to you. NIV 2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. NRS 3 Once again I testify to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obliged to obey the entire law. NIV 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. NRS 4 You who want to be justified by the law have cut yourselves off from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. NIV 4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. NRS 5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. NIV 5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. NRS 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love. NIV 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
